Côte&Ciel continues its exploration of the boundary between object and garment. For its Autumn/Winter 2026 collection, the brand starts with a simple yet demanding premise: to make fashion a verb rather than a noun, designing pieces that transform, unfold, and respond to both the body and their environment. Familiar silhouettes are stretched, compressed, folded, and reshaped.

Material plays a central role in this logic of transformation. A textured charcoal tweed brings a soft, wool-like tactility to technical shapes, while a black-and-cream tweed-style fabric, typically reserved for upholstery, leaves its domestic context to dress the body. Smooth burgundy nylon adds another dimension, combining lightness with a water-repellent finish. Together, these materials navigate between the domestic and the technical, the supple and the structured, giving familiar forms an unexpected language.

This movement extends to the objects themselves. TheELVO expands and compresses according to the wearer, shifting from a slim Carbon Black nylon backpack to a larger volume featuring hidden storage and space for devices up to 16 inches. The RENO takes the dialogue between object and garment even further, unfolding from a curved charcoal tweed shoulder bag into a wearable vest with an integrated hood. On a smaller scale, the PO S distills the iconic PO into a compact form, utilizing water-repellent black nylon with an origami-inspired construction to transition from a shoulder bag to a vest.
