Altra is expanding its running collection with the Vanish Tempo 2, a fast shoe designed to deliver smooth performance across the entire training spectrum, from easy runs to high-intensity sessions. It complements the new design system introduced by the Vanish Carbon 3, sharing its philosophy centered on the natural movement of the foot.
At the heart of the model is an all-new FAST TRNmidsole, featuring dual supercritical foam paired with a plate to provide high energy return, even over long distances. As with the Vanish Carbon 3, the plate—here made of PEBAX—is split to promote propulsion while allowing the forefoot to maintain its natural movement. The brand's signature 4mm drop encourages a smooth, dynamic stride. Comfort is also a priority, with a precise lacing system featuring an independent lower eyelet that secures the fit without creating pressure, a breathable engineered mesh upper, a padded heel, and a soft tongue. Staying true to its DNA, Altra retains its iconic FootShape fit, which gives toes the space they need to splay while ensuring stable support through the midfoot.
Designed for both tempo runs and road racing, the Vanish Tempo 2 weighs 208 grams for the women's version and 243 grams for the men's. It will be available starting September 30th for 200 euros at AltraRunning.eu and select retailers.
