Vans teams up with Hockey to revive one of its most respected skate silhouettes: the AVE Classic. Originally built around Anthony Van Engelen's demanding approach, the shoe returns stripped down and rebuilt for performance, featuring the brand's most proven technologies.

Underfoot, the technical setup is complete. DURACAP reinforcements strengthen high-wear areas for durability, POPCUSH insoles provide maximum cushioning without sacrificing board feel, and the SickStick rubber compound paired with the iconic waffle sole ensures top-tier grip and control. Nothing is left to chance in a pair designed to withstand repeated sessions.

In terms of design, the AVE Classic by Hockey pays homage to its roots while pushing forward. An all-leather upper, custom co-branded footbed, and Hockey-specific artwork provide a polished finish to a silhouette that has never lost its edge. Two exclusive colorways offer a choice between understated and aggressive.

For the campaign, Vans tapped Benny Maglinao, the creative mastermind behind Hockey, for a collaboration rooted in shared history and riders. Anthony Van Engelen's lasting influence serves as the common thread, carried forward by Vans riders Andrew Allen and Diego Todd, alongside Ben Kadow, whose presence with both brands highlights the natural fit of this partnership.

Far from a nostalgic reissue, the AVE Classic by Hockey focuses on function, durability, and intent. It is available now at select skate shops worldwide.
